War 2 : Two Weeks Box Office Collection

Let’s talk about War 2 and how it has done in the first two weeks. This film, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, was one of the most awaited releases of the year. With such a huge star cast and big budget, expectations were sky high.

WAR 2

A Grand Start

The movie released on 14th August 2025 and started with a blast at the box office. On the very first day, it collected over ₹50 crore, and on the second day, the numbers went even higher. For a moment, it really felt like War 2 was going to create history. But soon after the weekend, the situation started changing.

By the third and fourth day, the numbers dropped. The weekdays brought in lesser and lesser collections, though by the end of the first week the film had crossed over ₹200 crore in India. That’s a strong start, but the downward trend was a warning sign.

Second Week Struggles

When the second week began, the film’s collections slowed down even more. The second Friday opened to just around ₹4 crore. Saturday and Sunday were a bit better, with earnings crossing ₹6–7 crore, but not close to the opening weekend. As the weekdays followed, the film dropped further. By Monday, the numbers were only around ₹2 crore, and Tuesday slipped even lower.

By the end of the two-week run, War 2 collected about ₹225–226 crore net in India. For a film of this scale, that number feels a bit underwhelming.

Overall Picture

Globally, the film is expected to finish with around ₹370 crore. That’s good enough to be counted among the biggest films of the year, but it couldn’t beat Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which is running ahead.

Final Thoughts

So overall, War 2 began like a rocket but soon lost its momentum. People liked the action and star power, but many felt the story wasn’t gripping enough. It will still be remembered as a big film and for bringing Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR together, but it didn’t quite match the massive hype around it.
