Mithra Mandali (2025) Review – Priyadarshi Shines in a Fun Friendship Comedy

Hi friends, Today let’s talk about the new Telugu movie “Mithra Mandali (2025)”. It just released on October 16th, 2025, and it stars our very own Priyadarshi in lead role. The movie is directed by Vijayendar S, and it’s all about friendship, fun, and how a simple gang of friends end up in crazy troubles. I watched it recently, so let me tell you how it really is — the good, the bad and the funny!

Summary

This is a fun buddy comedy movie that shows how group of friends land in all kinds of funny mess after one of them falls for a politician’s daughter. The movie has many light moments and few emotional scenes too. Some jokes really land well, but some feels stretched or repeat.

Story

So the story is about Priyadarshi and his three best friends — Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, and Prasad Behara. They call their gang “Mithra Mandali,” means circle of friends. Their life goes smooth until one of them fall in love with a strong-minded politician’s daughter, played by Niharika NM.

From that point, everything goes upside down. Their small lies turn big problems, and the whole group ends up in hilarious and awkward situations. The first half of movie is full of energy and laughs, but second half becomes little slow and predictable. Still, it keeps the audience smiling most of the time.

Technical Aspects

Direction & Screenplay:
Director Vijayendar S did a decent job. He keeps the movie entertaining for most part, but few scenes feels like going in circle. Some jokes are too stretched, and second half need tighter editing. Still, it’s a decent try for a light comedy flick.

Cinematography:
Siddharth SJ’s camera work is good. The visuals are bright and colorful, suiting the film’s mood. It’s simple, not fancy — but fits perfectly for a story like this.

Editing:
Editor Peekay’s cuts are fine in first half, but later it feels little laggy. Some scenes could be cut short to keep energy up.

Production Design:
Locations and costumes look real and relatable, just like what we see in small-town stories. It gives a grounded vibe that fits the friendship theme.

Performances

Priyadarshi:
He totally owns the movie! His comic timing and expressions are gold. Even if a scene is dull, he makes it work with his natural acting. Honestly, without him the movie would lose half its charm.

Niharika NM:
She’s refreshing and confident in her role. Her dialogues and attitude are perfect for the character, but maybe the writing could’ve given her bit more emotional space.

Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, Prasad Behara:
They all share good chemistry with Priyadarshi. Their banter feels natural, like real friends.

Vennela Kishore:
He just enters a scene and boom, laughter guaranteed. Even if screen time is short, he leaves mark.

Music and Background Score

RR Dhruvan’s songs are okay and fit into the story smoothly. None of them are big chartbusters, but they don’t disturb the flow either. The background score adds nice energy to comedy scenes and emotional bits.

Box Office – 1st Day Collection

The movie opened slow on its first day. Reports say it collected around ₹1 crore worldwide on day one. The trailer made some buzz online, but still audience turnout was not too strong. Maybe weekend collections will tell better story depending on word of mouth.

What Works

  • Priyadarshi’s perfect comedy timing
  • Friendship chemistry between main gang
  • Simple story that connects with youth

What Doesn’t

  • Second half slows down too much
  • Repeated jokes in few scenes
  • Some emotional scenes don’t hit as expected

Rating

2.5 out of 5 stars
A fun one-time watch that works mainly because of Priyadarshi and few good laughs.

Final Verdict

This Movie is not a perfect comedy, but it’s enjoyable if you watch it with friends and keep your expectations light. It gives you good laughs, a few silly moments, and that “friends forever” feeling. If you are fan of Priyadarshi, you’ll surely like his performance here. The story could’ve been sharper, but overall, it’s a chill weekend movie.
