Story Summary

So basically, This Movie is a story about Agan (played by Pradeep Ranganathan), who is a free-spirited and carefree youngster, and Kural (Mamitha Baiju), his childhood best friend. Slowly, their friendship turns into love, but like always, problems comes in the way — misunderstandings, ego, and family pressure.

Kural’s father (Sarathkumar) is a strict man with strong beliefs, and his decisions brings tension between the couple. The second half goes into emotional zone showing how they deal with pain, regret and whether love wins in the end or not.

In short, it’s about love, ego, and realizing how people matter only after we losing them.

Technical Aspects

Direction & Screenplay

For a first-time director, Keerthiswaran done a pretty good job. The first half is very entertaining and pacy, with good comedy and fun scenes.
But the second half is little slow and predictable. Few emotional scenes doesn’t hit that strong, but overall he handled the subject nicely for a debut movie.

Cinematography & Editing

The visuals looks colorful and clean. Cinematography is neat, especially the outdoor scenes. Editing works well mostly in first half, but later on it could have been little tighter because few scenes feels dragged.

Music

Sai Abhyankkar’s music really adds energy to the film. Songs like “Oorum Blood” and “Singari” are catchy and already trending. The background score is pleasant and matches the mood. Music is one of the best things about this movie.

Sound & Action

Dialogues are clear and sound quality is good. There isn’t much action but the few fights shown are nicely made.

Performances

Pradeep Ranganathan

Pradeep totally carries the movie. He’s full of energy and fits well in the youthful role. His comedy timing is solid, and he looks natural in romantic scenes. In emotional scenes, he tries well but sometimes expression feels bit less.

Mamitha Baiju

Mamitha gives a very graceful performance. She looks simple and natural. Her chemistry with Pradeep works perfectly and they make a cute pair on screen.

R. Sarathkumar

Sarathkumar as Kural’s father gives a strong performance. His role adds seriousness and emotional weight to the movie, especially in first half.

Supporting Cast

Neha Shetty and other supporting actors do well in their limited screen space. Nobody feels out of place.

The movie opened with good buzz during Diwali weekend. On the first day, This Movie collected around 6 to 7 crores across India. For a youthful movie like this, that’s a pretty solid start. Audience response on day one was quite positive, especially from youngsters.

Pradeep and Mamitha make a charming pair and music gives extra life to the film. It’s not a perfect movie, but definitely a feel-good entertainer that you can enjoy with friends or family once.
